After thirty some years of practice, it's amusing to me to find that my tastes are broadening rather than becoming more narrow.  Design, as life, is a learning process and that approach is brought to every project in which I am involved.   I believe that any competent interior designer, properly trained, should be equally comfortable with historical reproductions as with more contemporary idioms.  Comfort, function and style are high on my priority list, as is the client's taste and budget.  It is your home, after all!  I believe that the process of interior design, should be intelligent, creative and fun, both for my client and for me.   Bringing a special talent for mixing fabrics, textures and colour to projects, my interiors tend to be sophisticated, unique and truly eclectic. Canadian born, my education was divided between New York School of Interior Design and the University of Waterloo, Fine Arts, although I consider that my education is on-going, conducted mainly by my clientele.   My interior design practice, both residential and commercial, is located in Toronto, Canada, and although my clients are scattered around the world and my work has taken me to Europe, the U.S. and the Caribbean, most of my work remains in Canada, as do I!  I can be contacted for consultation for residential or commercial interior design work, space planning, fine furniture, broadloom and draperies, wallcoverings, area rugs - Persian and domestic; lamps, lighting and other exotica.
I am a Professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers and honoured to be a board member and Public Relations Chair (1995-1997), Upper New York/Canada East Chapter.   Past Chair of Design Finder and a past member of ARIDO and Interior Designers of Canada.  I have contributed work to three Symphony houses (fund raisers) and "Anselma House", for which a plaque was presented by the Rotary Club.  I was surprised and amused to be awarded a Fine Art award by the Tom Thomson Public Art Gallery and admit to having various works of poetry published...but that is another story!
