This view is in a loft in downtown Toronto, Canada. Like SoHo, Toronto's West End is becoming the hub of the city's artistic community. The clients are both professionals with a love of Fine Art and, fortunately, good Interior Design! Their collection includes the Marcel Marceau to the left of the wall unit ( Marceau, the world's most beloved mime, was a friend of Chagall, and is his own right, an extraordinary painter.) I was able to locate a wonderful '40's chrome chair and many and various 'eclectica' accessories for this project. Directly behind the sofa, which I designed for the client, is an Antonio Tapies painting that I found in New York, one of two in the collection. The coffee table is almost seven feet long - I designed it to incorporate the top which was once part of a Chinese Opium bed, c1850. The happy blend of very old and very new continues to excite me and fortunately, my clientele.
